1. I watched Queer as Folk episode 101 last night and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I had a lot of warm and fuzzies and I can't wait to marathon the series when I have a little more time!

2. I also got sucked into a tumblr vortex for the past few days where I did nothing but get connected from tumblr to tumblr to tumble. Of course, ran into some gifs that I think are worth seeing. I'll start with a safe one and then dive into the not so safe for work ones.

3. I also totally became obsessed with Tangled the movie and got sucked into 10,000 Disney/Disneyland tumblrs. My favorite line from the movie?

I seriously died laughing.

I'm also probably going to do a Disney meme. One's a regular Disney themed meme and the other's a Disneyland meme. I do love them both so much. I'm Disney deprived, sigh.

Hope everyone who celebrates had a great Easter! This is the first Easter that I missed The Ten Commandments. I forgot it was on Saturday and I still don't own the movie. cindergal, I hope you had a very happy birthday! Everyone have a great week. :D

plus it's got the most amazing Elton John's soundtrack (he and his husbend are the producers,btw )

I signed up for tumblr long ago, and then just sat there and stared at it cause... I didn't get it. NOW THOUGH. NOW I GET IT. It's not really supposed to be a journal, it's not like LJ, it's like a streaming dashboard of pretty pretty pictures and I like that. As you said, though, it's a vortex of a black hole of quicksand that sucks you in and never lets you go. It's so easy to bounce from one post to the next to the next and then the next thing you know it's 3 hours later and you've crossed so many fandom thresholds you don't even remember where you started!

Yeah, you're right! There's just so much pretty in one place that you never knew that pretty existed before it. It's also so specific sometimes. Sometimes it's a general thought followed by a million pretty pictures or an actor your think is hot, etc. There's a little something for everyone.

Omg, I forgot how epic the hair grabbing and kissing and thrusting was and then I went, "OH, YEAH. THAT'S RIGHT. THAT WAS FUCKING HOT." ... and climate controlled, ha. That was so lacking in the following two seasons. A few scenes came close but that natural, no music way disappeared.

Hubby watched the Ten Commandments on Saturday, and I caught some of it while running around the house making holiday preparations.

I adore 101,,I actually watched it a few months back & like you it made me realize why I LOVE QaF & why I'll always remember it & never tire of it either.

I heart Tangled, as well. Although the (bit of) music is nowhere near old-school Disney standards, the movie has its awesome moments. I laffed hard at that line too. :D

Oh, tumblr. I have phases where I avidly follow and re-tumbl for a couple of days/weeks, followed by phases where I don't even log on for months. There's loads of QaF-themed gifs circulating tumblr, yes. Some days the crazy amount of gif posts makes me dizzy und unappriciative of them, tho. :(

Wtf, I missed this comment. Sorry, bb. Alan Menken did say that the music of Tangled was inspired by 60s rock or some such thing. Definitely not your traditional Disney fare but I love every second of it.

I would be so addicted if I got my own tumblr and followed everyone else's. As it stands, I can only look there once in a while since I can stay on for hours and hours and never get anything wrong! The gif posts can be excessive. Gotta stick with some of the static images.

Oh, QAF. Those were the days. I came across a beautiful QAF collage on Tumblr (which truly is the devil) the other day and stopped short because of all the emotions it triggered.
