You'd think that after all the heartache last year's soap obsession turned out to be, we'd learn our lesson and remember: soap operas are not kind to the gays. BUT, NOPE. I love Luke and Reid forever and forever and will continue obsessing about them but those two officially sucked me into the soap world and it appears I'm not giving up without a fight. That said, everyone join!

That's right. Same mods at noah_who are now following the new Days of Our Lives storyline featuring the characters Will and Sonny. They were both officially introduced on yesterday's show and they were oh so v. v. pretty and v. v. pretty together. Plenty of potential and something new to follow! JOIN AND HAVE TONS OF FUN! Funny how I came home from taking my English exam to find you guys promoting this on my f-list, it's basically telling me "HEY ALLISON NOW THAT YOU ARE DONE SCHOOL JUST THOUGHT I'D LET YOU KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING THIS SUMMER". OMG YES HD!!! I took one look at the video quality from the ones linked at the comm and was like :/ ew. I'm snobby, haha. Joining now! This looks like it'll be fun! And this time I know better than to allow myself to get sucked into a soap storyline like I did with LuRe. And yes! Graphics! I've been making a lot of those lately so hopefully I can do something with these guys!

I know, right? lol. It's even like ... blurry on anthony's channel. I don't know how that happened. But I'm going to work on putting up their clip today in HD the way it airs on TV. Sweet! I'm still figuring out a layout for the community but I know I'll want something creative. I am lacking in this. I'm also doing screencaps today so hope something inspires you! I'm just excited to get on the bandwagon before it really starts. So v. fun!

Oh, my gosh. We would never! I know that I would never. I love Luke/Reid so, so much. An example of this? I got this journal when I was obsessed with Brian and Justin. This was 2003. I am still here and I still love them. I'm sure I'll be here in another 8 years saying how much I still love Luke/Reid. I do not give up my ships even though almost everyone around me does, lol.

I don't usually stay actively involved in fandoms for years and years after the canon comes to a close, but I never stop shipping my old ships. I still love Spike/Buffy and Brian/Justin every bit as much as I ever did. And as for Days of Our Lives, one of my most beloved ships of all time was Jack and Jennifer, going back something like 20 years ago, and I have to admit, I'm at least as excited that Jack is coming back to the show this summer as I am over our shiny new gay boys!

I'm pretty much the same way. I don't read much S/B anymore, and I don't write it often, either - but I did for several years after the show ended, and I still love them. Of course, there's so much less canon to work with with Luke/Reid, and the fandom is much, much smaller that it's inevitable that things will slow down sooner. We're already seeing it, but...I need more fic, dammit! *g*
