1958 - 2009. It hasn't felt like two years. It feels like just yesterday I heard that awful news that I didn't want to believe. I'm watching his Dangerous tour video and just cried my way through I'll Be There. I still can't believe it sometimes that he isn't around making new music and doing more tours. I wish he was still here. I wish he were still here to share his music with the universe because it deserves to be heard by everyone. The only way to remember him properly is to remember him through his work and he did some great things. So underneath the cut are my favorite Michael performances to honor The King of Pop. He brought me so much joy in my life and he's always been there. No matter where I go and no matter what I do, he's there. Even now, he will always be there. Thank you for your music, Michael. You are missed and you are loved. ♥

MTV Awards Tribute in '09 with Janet. I cannot find a decent version of this performance! Grr. But there are some sensational dancers here who have got the moves down. It's exciting to watch and even more exciting when Janet comes out to dance with Michael during Scream.

I thought it was 2 years. We've just had Michael's Top 40 songs and his funeral on our pay TV. Such a brilliant singer/songwriter. He is sadly missed.

I cannot believe it's been two years already.

I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. I didn't believe it at first and still kind of forget sometimes as it just seems surreal that he's gone.

Where were you when you first heard it? I think it's definitely one of those "where were you when" questions that we're going to get asked in the future. It was such a great, great loss.

I was on the computer in my living room (which is odd for me as I don't usually take the computer out of the den) and I just happened to see it on my MSN homepage and yelled for my Mom to change the channel on the TV to CNN. Seconds later the posts started up on LJ.

Just surreal.
