Sadface.
Well, it's the final day of nablopomo and it's definitely been fun. I think that it's a challenge to try to write something every day but it did motivate me to write right away instead of waiting several days to say one little thing. I'll probably end up going back to that. I just like to think about what I'm going to say, compile, and then post it. That's just my way. It'd be neat to do something like this again though.
All of my November entries have been public and that's left me feeling very exposed. At the same time, I know that it's opened my journal to comments that I normally wouldn't receive, people that I don't often communicate with, and that's been really great. Maybe I'll keep it up and just lock the entries that really need to be locked. That's the plan, folks. That's the plan.
So, what did I do for the majority of my Thanksgiving break? I've been pretty consumed by Luke and Noah. I had plans to watch a couple of movies today but instead I decided that it's time to toss my old hard drives that I've literally been lagging around since 2003. Those are a lot of moves to be carrying around a couple of old towers.
There are a lot of old goodies that I found in the drives including some recordings of me on the radio. Yeah, I'll probably end up sharing those because they're embarrassing. They're a reminder that I was also like those crazy Jonas Brothers fans and said things that make me cringe today.
I'm also finally getting through the 5,000 questions survey that I started ages ago. Here are my answers for 301-400.
301. List 5 things you have not experienced that you would like to experience before you die.
Okay, so not liking these death questions! But …
A. Travel through Europe.
B. Travel through Asia.
C. Meet my birthmother (that’s an experience, right?)
D. Parasailing.
E. Trying a zip-line!
302. Will you try to accomplish any of these things within the next year?
I know that I’ll get to Asia. I don’t know how many countries I’ll be able to go through.
303. What do you feel controlled by?
Fear, self-consciousness.
304. If Jesus appeared to you and told you that the moon was made of green cheese would you believe him?
Sorry Jesus. I won’t go for that.
305. What is one thing you are sure of?
There are good people in this world.
306. At what part of the day do you feel the most alert?
Early evening.
307. Have you ever played in a band?
Never.
308. Have you ever stared into the ocean thinking 'early creatures crawled outta that'?
Yes, I have!
309. If not, what do you think of when you are staring into the ocean?
I think about those early creatures and the fact that we still have remnants of a tailbone.
310. Do you like the mental challenge of chess or other games?
Don’t really have an answer since I don’t play chess. Wish I did!
311. Do you ever think of where your atoms were before they were in you?
Not really.
312. Do you ever think about where your atoms will go after they have been in you?
Probably in the dirt.
313. If you didn't know that people couldn't fly do you think that you could?
Yes … until I proved to myself that I couldn’t do it.
314. Are you someone that others call when they're having a problem and want to talk about it?
Not really.
315. When it comes to literature, do you see beyond the writing and into the meaning intended by the author?
Yes.
316. Is there anything you can take apart completely, and then put back together, and have no left over parts?
No. I’d be too worried I couldn’t put it back together after taking it apart.
317. What are your feelings about the death penalty?
I think it’s pretty pointless. But, I also don’t think that people on death row should have a sweet life in prison. That also defeats the purpose.
318. If there was a god and you could ask him/her one question what would it be?
Why did you create us?
319. Do you believe that life will be found on other planets?
Yes. The universe is too large to people that there isn’t something living on a planet somewhere.
320. What is something worth suffering for?
Nothing.
321. If you could put an extra eye on your body anywhere you wanted, where would you put it?
My calf.
322. Are you in touch with the earth and nature?
Not as much as I’d like to be.
323. Would you rather live simply or extravagantly?
I like the best of both worlds.

Yes.
325. Is your heart open when you meet someone new?
Yes.
326. Are you able to have conversations with and become friends with people who are not like you and are interested in different things than you are?
Definitely.
327. Are strangers more beautiful or frightening to you?
Sort of in between.
328. What stops you from doing everything you want to do?
Wasn’t this question somewhere else? The answer was: fear.
329. Can you think of three adjectives that do not apply to you at all?
Stupid, ignorant, closed-minded.
330. How do you feel about Jeremy Jaynes, who got a nine year prison sentence for spamming people with junk email (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Jaynes)?
I had to look it up but he wasn’t only spamming, he was stealing money from these people and for that he definitely deserves to be behind bars.
331. Do you know who the current premier of China is?
You’d think I would with all the news from China. Sadly, I don’t.
332. Are you very active?
I wish I was. Working on it. So, no.
333. Is there a city that reminds you of the landscape of your brain?
Atlantis. Was that an island or a city?
334. Have you ever loved someone who has loved you back?
I hope so.
335. Is it really being 'in love with' someone if the other person doesn't love you?
Doesn’t really sound like it.
336. Do you believe that there is someone perfect for everyone or that people just fall in love with who ever they are with at the time?
I don’t think that I’m the best person to be answering this question.
337. Do you know secret things?
Like the Fountain of Youth? No.
338. Have you ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have?
No.
339. How do you overcome your fears?
Take deep breaths, say a positive mantra in my head and push through that fear.
340. What can you do better than anyone you know?
Sing.
341. Would you benefit from a wilder existence?
No, I don’t think that I would.
342. Does it seem to you like the range of socially acceptable behavior is getting smaller or larger?
Larger, some for the better and some for the worse I suppose.
343. Have you ever fired a gun?
No.
344. Are people becoming more afraid of each other?
I think so. At least in the States it seems that way. We’ve always been a country of fear or at least ruled by fear.
345. If you had to choose the percentage of freedom vs. safety what ratio would you decide on (ex: 100% free 0% safe)?
Geez. Not sure. 50/50 doesn’t seem like the right answer. Maybe leaning more toward safety.
346. Does safety stifle you?
I know that it does.
347. Who or what needs to be stopped?
Um stopped for what now?
348. Are human beings becoming more domesticated?
Uh, we’re not dogs or cats, you know.
349. Do you follow the lives of the British Royal Family?
I only have a fascination with their ancestors.
350. How did the death of Pope John Paul II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_John_Paul_II) affect you?
I’m Catholic but I still have a very hard time respecting the hierarchy within the Church. That said, his death didn’t really affect me either way. I just thought about that scene in the Godfather III when they were choosing a new Pope.
351. Have you ever lost something and never found it?
YES. IT’S AGGRAVATING AND SAD.
352. Do you listen to any talk radio shows?
No. In the morning I turn on Valentine, Ryan Seacrest and Kevin and Bean … all at once! I’m not loyal to any one morning talk show.
353. Who do you trust more, your friends or your parents?
Friends and my mother. So, both?
354. Would you ever date someone outside of your race or religion?
Of course.
355. Which of the 7 deadly sins in the worst (gluttony, greed, pride, lust, envy, wrath, sloth)?
Aren’t they all going to send me straight to hell? I guess greed would be the worst for me.
356. Which one are you most guilty of?
Greed and envy.
357. Are you afraid to be alone with yourself?
No. I’m alone with myself every day and I’m turning out okay.
Do you try to avoid thinking?
No, I often think. It’s kind of how the brain functions, yes? Yes.
358. Would you venture to tell someone you loved him or her if they didn't say it first?
Sure. It’s happened before.
359. What are you the most sensitive about?
Tons. I just don’t like to show that I am because it makes me vulnerable.
360. What can you talk about for hours?
Music, theatre, film, etc.
361. Do you talk about yourself, other people, or ideas the most?
Probably ideas or stories.
362. Do you believe that spell casting can work?
No, psh.
363. Are you a fan of The Legend of Zelda games?
Hell yeah! Only classic Zelda though. I’m talking old school Link.
364. What old movie would you go see if it were re-released in the movie theaters?
I already saw The Godfather Parts I and II when it was re-released. They also constantly show re-releases here so I won’t exactly go running to the theater every time there’s one of those. I’d be completely broke!
365. Is there a celebrity that you would be too starstruck to talk to if you met them?
Not really. Although, it’s happened a couple of times. One was Andrew McCarthy in New York and the first time I Jay Brannan I completely froze up.
366. Have you ever left a mean unsigned note?
I really wish I had the guts to do something like that. I don’t think I have though.
367. Do you think it's cheesy to paste things you didn't write into your diary?
Kind of. I don’t mind the occasional quote but the whole magazine clipping thing is just too messy for me. So, not cheesy but messy.
368. What are three things that you try not to think about?
Death, the past, myself.
369. Is casual sex acceptable for you?
Between single, consenting adults? Sure.
370. What form of sexual protection do you use?
What does into this one? Non-applicable?
371. What is expected of you that you feel is unnatural or not right?
I think that I have a lot of expectations placed on me.
372. Do you sometimes place your own expectations on other people?
Yeah, definitely.
373. Do you sometimes act overeager to make friends when you are around strangers?
I hope not, really. I just try to strike up conversation.
374. Do you take everything that is said literally?
No. Not at all.
375. Do you take most things others say seriously?
Depends. I mean, what if we’re playing the sarcasm game?
376. Do you have a quick wit?
More sarcastic than witty.
377. Do you believe in the need for political correctness?
Yeah, sometimes I admit.
378. Do you have strong opinions and beliefs?
I do but I think that I bend just not to start conflict.
379. If yes, can you still hang out with and be friends with people who disagree with you?
Um, depends. If our fundamental values are different then no.
380. Are you uptight?
I don’t think that I am!
381. Do you sometimes do risky things?
I think that I’m kind of a by the books girl.
382. Could just about anyone hold your interest in a conversation for at least ten minutes?
Yes.
383. Are you self-conscious?
Yes.
384. What would be your ideal destination for a Saturday afternoon?
Disneyland! Or hanging out in the park with my cousin and her kids. Something really fun and relaxing.
385. Does anyone have a video tape of you doing something embarrassing?
Unfortunately yes. That’s my entire childhood captured on film, haha.
386. What is Kevin Smith’s(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith) best movie?
I am definitely a Kevin Smith fan. I love Dogma, Chasing Amy, Clerks and I especially love his college series talks. So, I’m going to say the first Evening With Kevin Smith is the best.
387. Where do you like to go on Friday or Saturday nights?
Depends. I love concerts, theater, movies, any one of those.
388. Do you like your friends to act the same way all the time or do you accept their moods and changes?
I definitely accept their moods and changes but I don’t like the way that they turn strange in front of men. I think it’s awkward to see the transition.
389. Do you often feel like other people are judging you?
Yes.
390. What do you think other people judge you to be like?
I don’t really think much of myself anyway so I imagine it isn’t good.
391. Are you quick to judge others?
Yes.
392. When you have a fight with someone do you want to talk about it right away or calm down first and then talk?
I need to calm down for a long time first.

Being closed minded and bigoted and racist and … I mean, those are pretty bad, right?
395. Do you have it?
Absolutely not.
396. Which do you think has more impact on a person’s character, genetics or environment?
Could be a combination of both but a person’s character, how they treat other people, their interests and likes and dislikes can be more defined by environment.
397. Who was your first best friend?
I think my very first best friend was really Raina.
398. If you are not best friends anymore, what came between you?
Nothing! Still in contact via facebook. I just moved away so we didn’t grow up together.
399. Who have you read a biography about?
Charlie Chaplin.
400. What would your own autobiography be called?
Tales of a Pack Rat. No, I don’t know.
And I leave tonight with a photo of me being stupid at my aunt's bday party last week.
So, that's the finale of my November posts. If you like what you've read, feel free to stick around.

Supposed to be my cousin's kid's "real" machine gun looking thing. I was fascinated by pulling the trigger and hearing the weird video game now coming out of it, ha.

Who wrote the questions again?
To be honest, I'd probably have done the same ting you did with the gun. It's kind of badass.

I have no idea who wrote them. I think that I found them on a myspace and then someone else had the LJ link for the complete set of questions but no author to be found.
Totally badass, dude. My cousins kids have the best toys.
