Like you said, I think a lot of the older fans of the show or fans since it's began won't be posting about the show regularly. I think I have a lot of people who were once very active in fandom on my friends list because I befriended them over the years. I jumped into fandom around Season 3 which is when I started watching the show. But, I've seen those people fall into different interests or drift away, which is perfectly fine. Again, like you've said, they've already done the fan thing. I have a very hard time letting go of things so I'm still on a QaF kick 7 years after joining fandom. I'm not as fervent about it now as I was but I'm still very active in the community.
Yeah, watching the show on Logo is just ridiculous. That's no way to watch the show. There have been many people who've just watched it on YouTube and that's equally ridiculous.
That said, there's a community just for you! It's called qaf_rewind and they do an entire rewatch of the series. I was doing my own rewatch here. I think you can find them underneath my "qaf recap" tag. I was doing it with sakesushimaki and I'd love to get it started again since it did generate conversation. I just got a little busy and didn't have time for it. But, episode discussions are pretty thorough in qaf_rewind and plenty of people there who are watching it again and are interested in more in-depth conversations about the episodes. They're in S4 now but I'm sure they'll start all over again during the new year! Hope you enjoy it. :)
