This is would have been the best way to explain Damian's crazy, neurotic behavior at the end there. I'm one of the many that absolutely LOVED Damian and always was sad when they'd make him all evil again. A brain tumor is an excellent way to explain away all the destruction and pain he put everyone through.
I can imagine Reid keeping patient/doctor confidentiality again and Luke would be thinking exactly what he was thinking about not measuring up in bed. He's been insecure for a looooong time so it wouldn't surprise me if he felt that way. Of course Reid could have handled explaining all those absences and late-night phone calls better than he did but if he didn't then there would be no story.
The ending was perfect. Luke loves Reid and Reid loves Luke and in the end, that's what really matters.
