The Cinderella with Lesley Ann Warren is the one I remember watching and loved! The Brandy version was fabulous and the music quality elevated.
I adore musicals and as for specific TV moments, my all-time favorite was probably the original airing of Roots. It was a new style of TV (the miniseries) and it was brilliantly acted and directed.
