*throws hands up in the air* It's done! It's all done. Christmas cards are completed and ready to be mailed, Christmas gifts are bought and ready to be wrapped, extra Christmas things have been purchased (I got stocking stuffers for the first time in my adult life), and I am finished. The lights are on the tree and I'm about to do the ornaments. My Uncle's visiting for two weeks starting on Wednesday and there's still some cleaning to do. I'm helping out a little but I have something going on tomorrow (for tomorrow's entry), and Wednesday I won't be home (for Wednesday's entry). But... I'm done.

And it feels good. Like I said, I love giving during the holidays. It's just a time to be thought of and remembered and thinking about your loved ones and friends. I'm grateful I do have a hand cramp from writing those cards. It tells me I have people to send those cards to and that makes me pretty happy. I still have a million things to do but that's the gist of it for today's entry: gratitude. I'm grateful for friends to send cards to, people to give gifts to, and the job I have this year. I was recently laid off last year and I was aching to go during this time. I already knew I was laid off for two months and they wouldn't set us free. This time last year, I was preparing to leave and I didn't know what the future held. Well, I still can't predict the future but I know I have a roof over my head, money in the bank, gifts to give this holiday season (unlike last year), and people I love. It's been a good day.

I'm always determined to get things done before the rush but it was definitely a trial this year. Good luck to you!

What a great effort. Well done with everything. I've had a very productive day myself seeing I'm home alone. Figured out how to print my new labels for Xmas card envelopes. Designed about 6 cards to send to QaF/Adam friends and got them printed and stamped. Stuck all the labels and stamps on 30 Xmas cards to send. Our post office ran out of Xmas stamps and my printer was playing up so had to make a rush trip into town. I'm only sending 3 cards overseas this year as our postage has almost doubled. It now cost $2.50 for one card overseas, previously $1.70 last year. I have yet to put up my tree. Have a story due on Saturday so trying to do as much of that as possible before I do.

Found red napkins at a bargain price in town. My daughter wanted some for our Xmas table. Son and his partner and my daughter are arriving on Sunday. Looking forward to that. David is cooking our Xmas lunch. Have bought some presents but need to make a list. The weekend is looking good for shopping or maybe this Friday.

Thank you! My hand cramped up from the writing but small sacrifice once a year, right?

hahaha I laugh because we haven't even started. So it's more hahahahSOB.

Anyway. It makes me so sad for you that you don't go to a big tree farm and cut down a tree! We go to this place and hike up this hill and cut down a tree and drag it back down and then hook it up to a tree pully thing to get it down the hill and it's SO MUCH FUN. Eric said about just buying a precut one the other year and I was like NO, GET OUT.

Haha, omg. Time is going by SO FAST. Like, Christmas is next week. I can't believe it.

What's a tree farm?! Haha. I don't think we have any of those in Southern California, at least. Northern is probably different. I've always wanted to do that! We just don't have pretty and ideal winters and people have to cut down our trees for us. I think the majority are from Oregon. Mine was, anyway. It's a LONG WAY to Oregon, okay?! I totally would if I could so that sounds very awesome to me.

You have a beautiful attitude and I bet it's all year round, not just the holidays.
Good to be done! Good for you. :)

Aww, thank you! I definitely try to keep it year round. That's just the way I view things. But very glad to be done with the shopping, that's for sure.
