So, I'm sporting my Obama t-shirt here at work and watching the live stream from CNN.com. Unfortunately, I'm boxed in next to two Republicans and my co-worker isn't here today to watch with me so I'm on my own. I'm sure the tv is on in the break room but I'd rather watch with my headphones on since I'm switching channels. I'm going from CNN to MSNBC and some local channels.

It is an exciting day. I think that this country needs a change and I'm being realistic about it that everything isn't going to happen right away. I'm very aware of that and I'm not holding Barack Obama on a pedestal but I am ridiculously happy. This is my first election where I've really been aware of everything happening. I wasn't as involved in Kerry's even though I voted for him. I think it's just a really exciting time and I think that all we can do is hope for the best.

I have a lot of hope for this administration. It is a historic day and I wonder what everyone else is doing today if you're "celebrating" this day in your own way. What are you guys up to?

Edit: Uh, Barack H. Obama? Didn't want to go all the way there?

I don't know that I'm "celebrating", but I will watch the ceremonies for the first time in my 48 years. If we see some progress in the first four years, I'll be happy. *crosses fingers*

Wow. Watching for the first time is definitely something! I'm also crossing my fingers for change here.

I thought the same thing when he was presented as "Barack H. Obama". Thankfully, he was indeed sworn in using his full name :)

To be fair, whenever he was announced as Barack H. Obama, we also got Joseph R. Biden, and when it was Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, it was Barack Huissein Obama. (Although, wait, where was his "Jr"? I've just find the real conspiracy! Gasp! Lol.)

How awesome was today? Seriously? Seriously? TOO awesome. That's how awesome.

Hmm. Good point! Too concentrated on our awesome new President to notice that! You should look deeper into your conspiracy, haha.

SO AWESOME.

There should be a dictionary definition of how awesome this day was.
